    Tom, pardon my typo, yep I am talking about an .TXF file. If you read my initial comment, I am not beingness given the choice to Report to tax export file. Delight read my initial comment.

    Reports > Tax > Tax Schedule
    --Cheque that the data is right --
    Click on the Export icon at the top (canvass of paper with a green pointer)
    Choice Study to tax export file

    Repeat with Reports > Tax > Majuscule Gains

    or, go to File > File Export and initiate the exports from there, merely then you lot don't get a risk to review the data.

    Guessing this scenario..... using QW 2020 DLX R23.17 -

    From Quicken: Reports -> Tax -> Tax Schedule -> Consign -> Study to tax export file.
    That volition create a .TXF file, and the rest you need to get from H&R on how to import information technology.

    EDIT -- I too updated the topic title to improve reflect the bodily Q&A

    So yous're selecting a tax file:

    and after generating the report you click on Export:

    and the tertiary option isn't listed?

  • J_Mike

    In QWin - from the menu bar;

    File > File Consign > Export TurboTax Tax Schedule Study
    and/or
    File > File Export > Consign TurboTax Capital Gains Report

    These are the txf files for import into TTax or other compatible tax software.

    You can also exercise information technology this way on Quicken Deluxe.

    On the tool bar click on Planning - go to Turbotax - then pick which file you lot want to export Tax Schedule or Cap Gains.
    If I am non mistaken doing it this way the file you lot export right now will show information for 2018 not 2019.

    The simply way for you lot to get this years numbers is to set your computer clock whatsoever date after January 1, 2020. But remember where you lot saved the file.

    At present y'all can import into H&R Block per their software instructions.

    Just another option.

    FWIW I do not export Quicken data to TurboTax because I want to reconcile it with the 1099s and W2s I receive and because at that place is important tax information that Quicken does not collect.

    For example Quicken does non distinguish between ordinary and qualified dividends, does not handle strange taxes paid, etc. Much of this data is just bachelor on the 1099 forms and non throughout the year.

    @Jim_Harman
    I do export it to a draft or test file for a guesstimate. I also wait for the 1099's and any other revenue enhancement documents. This early in the tax flavor not all forms are ready any way.
    Turbotax and H&R Block all will evidence Draft, plus IRS has not even set a engagement to when they will start to accept the1040's.

    I also updated my methods for Quicken handling income.. like paycheck, etc.

    Ordinarily, I would merely see the net amount being deposited, but then, later beingness mentioned in another thread, I ran across the PAYCHECK course of a Reminder.

    Then now, I enter ALL the info from my paystub so that the taxes are now correctly reflected in the Quicken Taxation Planner.

    I even went back thru all the checks and re-entered them via the Paycheck template and so the withholding and other taxes matched the paystub YTD.

    For instance Quicken does non distinguish between ordinary and qualified dividends, does non handle foreign taxes paid, etc. Much of this data is only bachelor on the 1099 forms and non throughout the year.

    I agree 100%. For me, at to the lowest degree, in that location are 2 things which accept, in the past, been worthy of import from Quicken: charitable contributions and state & local taxes. Nothing else is really authentic enough to be usable.

    I simply hope i day those things volition exist fully deductible again, and then I continue to track them and import them to TT.
