| I think UNCC has long suffered from being a driver schoolhouse. I admit that I have e'er put UNCC near the lesser of the colleges in NC as far every bit academics and reputation. Near of the kids that I know that went to UNCC (my generation and the current generation) chose information technology every bit a terminal resort or were from out of state. I think the location is an outcome as there is lilliputian for the students to do in that area and crime is a big issue in my stance. I do call up that having a football squad will aid draw more than students. |

| Terminal I checked WFU, ASU, and NC State were the only schools doing cool things and take loftier standards. The rest are but for people who's parents couldn't become a big enough loan.. As well for motorsports you're on the wrong side of the land, and fifty-fifty after graduation, internships aren't going to become y'all far. You need exceptional talent or to arrive to entry level and build a four-vi twelvemonth piece of work history, and the very least. I thought everyone in motorsports was going to wyotech or europe? |

| Thank you for the responses everyone! Apparently I've been reading the incorrect things because according to nigh of you, UNCC definitely doesn't seem as bad as others have made it out to be. I'chiliad hoping to get out at that place to visit the campus sometime this Summer and make sure information technology's the place for me only anyway, thanks for your input. |

Appalachian State and UNCC's admissions standards are about the same. Your comment about loans doesn't make much sense and makes me wonder where you're getting your data. Equally far equally motorsports engineering science goes, UNCC does accept a program. Non sure how much that would help someone in communications though equally there isn't much interaction between the departments. UNCC is not a bad schoolhouse. In general information technology'southward reputation is lagging behind what'due south actually going on in that location. Their engineering and compages program are solid. They have a decent communications program but you will probably get more than support somewhere like chapel hill. That said, you are in Connecticut, it might exist best to get some intern feel in the NYC market going somewhere there. Also, don't listen too much to college boards similar college confidential and others. They're full of insecure people who like to put others down to experience ameliorate well-nigh themselves. |

| UNCC is a good school. I should know. They have one of the better Accounting programs in the state. They also excel in engineering and education. You are going to detect a hard time just getting by with a communications degree and trying to get into motorsports. |
